The project has been awarded to the company for revival of the project. The project is located in Udalguri District of Assam. Dhansiri Hydroelectric Project comprises of five (5) nos of Small hydro power stations each with an installed capacity of 3 X 1.33 MW (4 MW) proposed on the irrigation canal taking off from the right bank of the Dhansiri Barrage constructed across Dhansiri river.
Dhansiri river is a tributary of river Brahmaputra and is formed by the confluence of one river flowing downstream form Bhutan and another river from Arunachal Pradesh. The barrage across the river has been constructed just downstream of the confluence of these two streams. The details of the project are provided in the following documents:
