Looking at the potential of solar energy, APPDCL has also taken initiatives in the line of business. The parent JV company namely IL&FS Energy Development Company Limited is an expert in the field. It has till now set up following power projects:
Therefore, APPDCL with the assistance from Govt of Assam and IL&FS has taken up the initiative to identify potential for setting up power project in the abandoned sugar mill in Cachar, Assam and also tea gardens of Assam Tea Corporation. The said work in under progress.
